Mijamed Beekeeping Farm is a combination of knowledge, great effort and beauty. It is led by a husband and wife Bošnjak from Ljubuški. Ante is responsible for organic honey making and Mladenka is in charge of the line of beauty products based on honey and local herbs. Hardworking Mladenka does not spare her time or effort so she also creates unusual product packaging for special purposes.

Folk Medicine in the Middle Ages
In medieval Europe Christians believed that the marks and symptoms of disease were a divine punishment or a result of witchcraft. Any diagnostic tests were superfluous. Among old civilised nations the practice of medicine was innitially similar and almost exclusively in the hands of priests. In that early time it was often believed that the cause of disease was supernatural. It was especially the case with mental illnesses the appearance of which was almost impossible to explain in a natural way. For a long time the evil spirits were believed to make their presence known through disease. Treatment involved attempts to weaken their influence or destroy them with ritual chanting, egzorcism and magic. The basic therapy was prayer, repentance and the invocation of saints. Diagnosis was based on symptoms, pulse checking, palpation and examination of bodily fluids or humors. Medieval medical practitioners used medical preparations and other methods for healing the sick, while the most popular treatment was blood letting.
